Talk. Learn. Connect. – Getting Involved in ALS Clinical Research

Talk. Learn. Connect (TLC) series provides an opportunity for those living with ALS, family members, caregivers, and friends to share stories and hear the experiences of others living with the disease. While support groups are regional, anyone can attend any group that suits their schedule.

Presenter: Dr. Noam Harel, Neurologist, James J Peters VA ALS Clinic. Many people with ALS and their families are interested in getting involved in clinical research for the first time but don’t know what to expect. We will discuss the opportunities and challenges of finding clinical studies for which you are eligible. We will discuss the potential risks benefits and overall expectations of participating in clinical research.
