Become an ALS United Greater New York Volunteer!

We’re looking for people who are committed to the fight against ALS. Some of the many Volunteer opportunities we have available include:

Walk ALS: Help at our annual Walk ALS events, held throughout the Spring and Fall seasons. Duties include registration, route monitors, parking lot attendants, t-shirt distribution, and more.

New York City Marathon: We are a charity partner of the TCS New York City Marathon! Support our runners by cheering on Team ALS at the New York City Marathon.

Equipment Loan Pick-Up/Drop-off:  Designed to assist individuals living with ALS at every stage of their journey, our Equipment Loan Program offers diverse items and serves as a crucial bridge, mitigating the prolonged wait for insurance funding by providing essential equipment and assistive devices. We need volunteers who can assist our team in picking up and/or dropping off these items. A car is typically preferred but not necessary if in one of the five boroughs.
